Trangia was founded in 1925 in the village of Trångsviken, Jämtland. They started by making household utensils in aluminum, for the kitchen in the home.

The first Camping set
Trangia decides to focus on the development of cooking products especially for camping. First camping set comes and gets the name no.24
1951
The Trangia stove
The first prototype of the Trangia stove is launched and gets the name no 25
1959
Model 27
In the late 50s, the Trangia stove comes in a smaller model, no 27
1961
The burner is moved
We move the holder for the burner from the upper windshield to the lower, as it looks today.
1964
The Military burner
Between 1964-76 Trangia manufactures the spirit burner that is part of a set for the Swedish Army. A larger version of the original burner.
1969
Frypan in nonstick
Now you can get your stove with nonstick frying pan. 1987 the saucepans also comes in the same material.

Updates on the Trangia stove
The handle are manufactured with the air holes it has today. The hooks & ring in the windshield changes material to stainless steel
1974
Trangia lantern
Candle Lantern no.82 was manufactured during the 70s. Later there is a version with heating lights, No.83
1985
Mini Trangia
The Mini Trangia 28 is manufactured. Stove for 1 person. 1st gen, all in aluminum. Then in red nonstick frying pan & now with black.

Gas burner to the Trangia stove
Gas burners come as an option for the stove. Manufactured for a short time by Camping Gaz, later by Scorpion (not in picture), Epi Gas & Primus

New material – Duossal
Time for new material again, DUO SS AL. Two materials in one pressed together, stainless & aluminium. Comes in both pots & pan
1995
Gas burner from Primus
Now we switch manufacturers of our Gas Burner to Primus & it is still today.
1998
Titan
Pans and frying pan are manufactured for about 10 years in Titan. A hard & good material, but has a little less good heat conduction.
