Cinnamon Rolls on a Camping Stove: Quick Rolls with Pizza Dough

Ingredients (makes approx. 6–8 cinnamon rolls)

• 1 pack ready-made pizza dough (chilled)
• 50 g softened butter
• 50 ml granulated sugar
• 1.5 tbsp ground cinnamon
• A little butter for frying
• Optional: pearl sugar or icing sugar for topping

Step by Step: Make Cinnamon Rolls with Pizza Dough

1. Make the filling by mixing the butter, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl until smooth.
2. Roll out the pizza dough directly onto the paper included in the package. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the entire surface.
3. Roll the dough tightly from one of the long sides and cut the roll into slices approximately 2 cm thick.
4. Add a small knob of butter to the frying pan and place the cinnamon rolls in the pan. Cover with an upside-down pot or a Multidisc to retain the heat.
5. Cook over low heat for approximately 4–6 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
6. Top with pearl sugar or icing sugar and enjoy the cinnamon rolls warm, straight from the frying pan.

Tip! Low heat is essential when baking on a Trangia stove. Turn the burner down to the lowest possible setting. If the heat is too high, the sugar filling may burn before the dough has had time to cook through.
